Harmony Performance– Masks, Swans, and Ghouls… oh my!
Mark your calendars for Sunday, Feb 26 2pm- 4pm for Harmony: An Exhibition in the Arts! It is a free event at the beautiful waterfront of the Meyer Ampitheatre that features the Palm Beach Symphony (with world-renowned cellist, Amit Peled!!) and Ballet Palm Beach!
Bring the entire family, along with your blanket and picnic basket, and enjoy an afternoon of music and dance al fresco!
Cost? It’s FREE and there’s FREE PARKING too! Say no more…!
But, if you want to have a bit more luxurious experience (because if you’re going to listen to a symphony and watch ballet you might as well go the full nine yards…) get a VIP ticket! The $100 ticket grants the holder the best seats, valet parking, a champagne welcome, a luncheon buffet, desserts, libations, and bragging rights for supporting such a fabulous event for the public of West Palm Beach! 😉
Ballet Palm Beach is collaborating with the Palm Beach Symphony for three of the fabulous pieces performed: The Swan, Masquerade Waltz, and Danse Macabre!
AKA The Dying Swan. The ironically beautiful ballet made popular by legendary Anna Pavlova! (Rumor has it, she performed it over 4,000 times across the world!)
Grandiose, ominous, and destined to give you an earworm. The music describes an ill-fated masquerade ball that leads to mistaken identity and tragic irony. *dramatic pose*
Literally “Dance of the Dead.” A soiree of ghoulies and ghosties, long-leggedy beasties, and things that go bump in the night.
